waaa waaa *whiney thread*
    #4105934 -

I just thought I'd vent a bit..i fucking HATE my job. It sucks so bad. I work at this restaurant and I run food to tables, constantly lifting shit and getting bitched at by the servers. I work my ass off and still get snapped at by the haughty managers that have a few years of college and are in a higher position than you and need to make themselves feel good because they have shitty jobs so they treat you like shit. They won't make me a server because I am so good at doing what I do and no one wants my job, and instead of making me server they keep hiring these chumps to do it and not giving me what I deserve. Hell, I don't even want to serve, I'd done that before and it sucks kissing all these jerks asses to get tipped, its humiliating.

I can't wait to start my school soon in August and quit working these stupid jobs I can't stand!

I am either going to culinary school or joining the LAPD (thass right, look out) and I wont have to ever again work in this type of position. Argh!

Its so stressful going home at the end of the day (not even a 4 hour shift) and being completely beat down to hell and cranky.

Hey there. I'm sorry your not happy with your job. Holy shit I love mine. Life is treating me alright.
Why don't you find something that you will enjoy...even though it's just temporary. I couldn't work somewhere I didn't like.

you are right. Its just that I'm all trained for this position and it'd be so much easier not to get a new job..but maybe I should give it a go.

mmm the whole contributing to a facist police-state repressive/discriminatory/completely ass-backwards approach of dealing with crime thing comes to mind...

 the police system is one of many that i believe cannot be reformed from the inside, simply because its foundations are inherently wrong. (actually you can take that comment and replace "police system" with "state" and it'd be just as true, in my mind)

go to culinary school instead. food is much cooler than guns anyhow!

You could, Jenny. Do whatever makes you happy.

There are cool cops and there are dick cops. There are more dick cops than cool cops. You could help even things out. =)

but you could positively contribute a hell of a lot more by, for example, going to build wells in africa.

or, for that matter, starting up Panther-style free-breakfasts in ghettos across the states.

Sucky jobs suck  . I'm sure you will do well, in any venture you choose (which may or may not be a good thing  :piggy: ). Culinary school sounds like a pretty cool route, I think there is at couple chefs that post here. Good luck to ya.

Being a cop wouldn't be the end of the world; it sounds better than digging wells in Africa

So you wanna be a cop?
so you wanna be on the top
arrestin and shootin' all the kids on the block
incarcerate the youth of the next generation
and you get the high fives at the police station

so you wanna wear blue
and prey on the people
go above the constitution where all men are equal
beat down the poor, the working class core
your a class trading motherfucking rich man's whore

'cuz it's a thin blue line between the love and the hate
if you so choose to cross it you're a nazi for the state
your injustice will crush us, the precious the few
so you wanna be a killer for the red white and blue

I like this one (by anti flag)

A black man driving down the street one day
Pulled over by racist boys in blue in Brentwood, PA
There's no real reason, they don't have any right
It's just that in their eyes he's not the correct shade of white...
Driving in a neighborhood that's reigned by whites
Ain't healthy for a black man trying to live a lengthy life
All those cops they walked off free, but him he's in a grave
His name is Johnny Gammage, one of thousands they have slain

We've got no rights....
... when cops can kill
It's not right....
... we live in fear
Patrol man cruising in his car at night
Just looking for some homeys he can rough up in a fight
Pulled over 3 kids in a total rage
Next thing you know there's bodies all over the place
His back up came & they're all acting tough
3 kids vs. 6 or 7 cops all armed with billy clubs
The cops they did it just cause those kids color and their age
They say "that's not the truth", but this happens every fucking day!!!

We've got no right. ....
... when cops can kill
It's not right...
... we live in fear

Fear of what you're gonna do, when a cop's talking shit to you
Fear of what you're gonna say, when the cops come gunning your way
Fear of what you shouldn't do, when the cops try to provoke you
Fear that on any given day, the cops should take your life away...

They say they're here to keep the peace...
WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKIN' SHIT!!!!!!

It's by Crack Rock Steady 7(morning glory + leftover crack), written by Stza. Thats just the few verses, the actual song is way bigger - PM me if you want the mp3.

I thought crack rock steady was a song.... by choking victim (aka leftover crack).... there's a lot of parallels going on here

it is a song, but crack rock steady 7 is a band, unifying leftover crack and morning glory - basically the new choking victim.
