How long does lit take those that have used the H/Tek to see growth after inoculation.
I used some water that had been prepared 2 days earlier and there was some growth, but I am now thinking that perhaps not enough. The six jars of rye I inoculated using that honey water have had no sings of growth after 4 days.
I re-inoculated them today using honey water that was growing for 5 days and had huge growth in the jar and hope to see results soon.
How ling does it usualy take? I would think 24-48 hours right?
Cheers,

A week to see growth in my rye spawn when icoculated using honey water? I think you may be answering a different question? (Maybe...How long does it take to see growth in the honey water using spores?) That I am aware of.
Have you used it on rye grain?

Yes, I misunderstood you. Still, wait a week before you give up. No rye in my kitchen, just brown rice.

The only problem I've run into with Honey Water is what you're describing. Sometimes, you'll get points of innoculation that never germinate.
Spores are so small that they get distributed all over the syringe whether you see it or not, but that doesn't seem to be the case with mycelial cells. It tends to clump together and if you didn't have enough mycelium in the jar when you sucked the water into a needle, you're likely to get a few blank injections.
Usually, let a honey jar colonize for about a week after first signs of growth. first the water gets cloudy, then you start getting clumps, then you wait 5-7 more days. That way, you can get several CC's of strong mycelium to start your jars with. 85% of the water in your syringe should be cloudy with mycelium if you want a 85% chance of each innoculation site germinating

BTW this is all my experience and I'm certainly not saying my experiences are the same as yours. What strain?

Here is my experience:
I made some honeywater and waited 3 days after seeing clouds I innoculated one jar. I had noticable growth after 2 days. I then innoculated 7 more jars with the honeywater that had been colonizing more. I then waited 3 more days and innoculated 8 more jars with honey water that had still been colonizing. The ones I innoculated last are now the most colonized and the one I innoculated first is the least colonized.
You need to make sure you get as much as you can in the syringe. I sucked the solution in and squirted it back into the jar several time before I got a good syringe full of mycellium clouds.

hi jebus, my wookie friend is experiencing something similar here... there are some jars innoculated with 'young' honey water (i think a few days older than yours) that weren't thrown away only bcs of my wookies girlfriend... now it begins showing visibile growth, after more than a month! and only after a month for me to see mycelium clouds floating around honeywater... i think im gonna reinoculate, oops, i mean, my wookie friend, is going to reinoculate the same jars with this clone honeywater, maybe its a thing for you to try too... ;)
i hate witty sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.
