Syringe tek

I have been trying to narrow down my contamination and I think it has to do with my syringes. I always get a few jars that have the green mold right where I inoculated. I don't think it's the sterilization time on the jars(15 psi for 45 min) and I usually just put the syringes in with the jars for 45 min. too. Then I use a 1/2 pint jar I wash and sterilize the jar with 91% microbial alcohol. Then I just scrape the spores off with a sterile scalpel and pour in some walgreens brand distilled water with the seal on it. I always do this in a glove box I just never use an open flame or sterilize the water before using. Am I doing something wrong?

Your tek should work but you might want to sterilize your water and see if that makes a difference. I never use flames sterilization either on the needles, that shouldn't be the cause but you might want to try that as well..
Another cause may be the spores and your spore printing tek. You may want to review your procedures.

Just how would I go about sterilizing the water? Maybe put it in some jars and PC it?

that works just fine. I use distilled water too but just because it is distilled is no guarantee that it is sterile. I PC 200ml flasks of water for 60 minutes before using them for making syringes.
Also are you using a glovebox at least when you make syringes? If you are then can I suggest using a shallow pan in the bottom of the glovebox. Fill it with alcohol and leave it overnight to allow the fumes to penetrate the nooks and crannies in your glovebox. Remove the tray and nuke the glovebox with Lysol before using.
I always use multiple methods of disinfecting because there are very few products on the market that are 100% effective

Cool, thanks a lot for the tips. Instead of lysol I use Ozium. I don't know which works better.
