do you need distilled water or can you use normal sink water? im bout to mix everything and nee dto know if i should run to the store im bout to boil each jar afterward that may take awhile

Spring water would be better for that purpose. You can use regular tap water, but you run a higher risk of contamination, I think.

i have this nature trail by my house in seattle with a stream that runs down to puget sound would creek/stream water be good?

if you pressure cook the jars, it wont matter what water you use, it shouldnt increase the chance of contams. unless of course you use honey water or something, which will be an excellent food for contams later on.

i use spring water, as i read it somewhere (probably the pf-tek or something), but i've heard that people use all types of water and don't see any difference.

I use tap water prior to pressure cooking, and spring or distilled water for all other uses after that point. I'm new, but I've done 5 small batches of jars so far, and had not the first spot of contamination on anything.

I use mountains spring water but I've also used well water, creek water and city water. I've always boiled it and have never had problems with any type of water.

'Mountain spring water' sounds better......

I also use regular tap water......i just make sure it's sterilized. Haven't encountered a problem with it yet!
