OAK LOGS>>>>

i just cut up a bunch of oak logs for my cultivation projects, i was thinking shiitake but what i really wanna do is start up a profitable business...so what would be some more profitable mushrooms i could grow off these logs...i saw some shiitakes at the store the other day for like $1 an oz fresh...some back ground i live in Michigan by Lansing so i could get rid of allot of mushrooms, at gourmet eateries and some medicals at some health food places in town and near by... i know is all subjective but i just wanna get some feed back and maybe some species i should look into...right now i have cultures of shiitake and reishi, maybe some nameko if they have germinated...

never heard of that place.

usually, it's non-chain, health/organic/natural food stores that carry them. farmer's markets are also a good place to look.

if its just loads of money you want......try growing truffles...trippy or gourmet..they all sell for loads, but i dont think restaurants outside of cambodia or amsters will put psilly truffles on ya pizza.

the only way i've seen logs done was in a square almost like you are building a log cabin with really big gabs inbetween the logs.(that would be one drafty house in the winter) if you want to go for the pyramid. if your trying to make money from them wouldn't you want to rush them along with the wood chips???

i have wood chips going also, these are for long term production, i want to have a constant supply...i need a styrofoam ppacking gun for packing the sawdust if any one has one for sale or trade please pm me...
