colonizing jars and pinning cases together
    #402471 - 09/24/01 10:45 AM (22 years, 11 months ago)

I have a case that I initiated pinning the 19th (no pinning yet though), and I also have 70% colonized jars (innoculated on the 16th) that I have today loosened the tops and tipped the CO2.

My question is can they both be in the same container? If so, what is a universal temp and r/h that they could both share?

Thanks alot for the help guys,
cheers,

abudiwa

Cakes require a much higher humidity level, somewhere from 85-95%, while trays only require somewhere from 75-85.. By that logic, somewhere around 85% would probably be optimium for trying to fruit them both in the same chamber (i know it works for trays), but it still might stunt the cakes a little. If you notice the cakes bluing\shrinking, they're starving for water, and you might want to consider a seperate chamber for them.
