Poll deciding whether Im banned from IRC for life or not

Ok this is a continuation of my other thread but its locked. I contacted Vampire999 and he said its up to 32 of my peers and there is a poll deciding my fate....my question is where is this poll? Its in the admin/mod secret forum?

Also I hope whoever is voting knows the story....

I came on IRC after being insulted by Jenny and jokingly the first thing I said was "Anyone want jenny boobie pics?" and as quickly as I came in I was banned for life. Kind of lame when you consider Ive been chatting there for years....

There is a vote, it is private, and it is too soon to call but you can have hope.

Your timing was poor.

IRC is going through changes right now and there were many folks banned, who will be returning shortly. You are not alone... and you will likely be back.

I hate to say it, cause I wish it weren't true.  But for the reasons stated by some others, I feel that the only good channels on IRC are the private or invite-only channels. :crazy2:

I wish there were a better way to use and manage IRC, but IRC is intrinsically unmanageable.  No one person can control large channels effectively simply due to the volume of chat that occurs, in addition to the very public nature of the medium.  It is unfortunate, but the many negative problems associated with human nature (greed, envy, hierarchy, etc) seem to manifest to a much greater degree on IRC than most other interactive mediums I have experienced... and I would imagine that this stems from the fact that it is such a difficult format to manage, in addition to the fact that it offers much greater anonymity than most other formats. 

Ah well.. if you don't like it and don't participate, you can at least rest comfortably in the knowledge that you're not missing much :wink:

Thanks for the support guys I dont go there as often as I used to but I do enjoy chattin occationally, and it was depressing to think I wouldnt be able to go back just because of a little joke.  I took a break from shroomery for a bit and it seems like people turned on me :sad: O well hope I win the poll thanks again for the support

Sorry you guys feel that way, but the only thing I can say is, its extremely hard to tell who's joking and who's not, especially when it comes to black and white text. Where do you draw the line? It's harder than it sounds...and I know people don't MEAN to be assholes, or unfair, or ban people for joking around. It's something that's being worked on, so that hopefully IRC will be a more enjoyable place for everyone.
