P.cub found tan spores

Recently I found a definite specimen (P.cubensis), that, upon sporeprinting, was found to have tan spores. Visually it was identical to the hundreds of others, which all had normal black spores.

The first cultures showed odd growth. Using an inoc. loop, samples were touched to mda/dung medium at three points. THese points grew, to the point that the touched on another, but refused to fuse, and looked like three clearly different specimens, all p.cun lookin, white fuzz, etc.

Contamination hit the jar. I cut two pieces out, and they did their thing no prob.

Any comments? What did I find? It's possible that just the pigments are altered, I'm sure, this is not a big deal genetically.

Any info most apreciated.

cubensis spores are dark purple, you got another specie....

I'm aware that all spores found of yet are blue/black, but this was definitely a 'bensis, it was growing on a pile of dung with several others, and was absolutely identical to the others. I take prints of ALL the mushes I bring home, or else I wouldn't have known.

I'm sending the print to the Sporeworks, I'm afraid that it might be an important discovery, and would rather leave it to the "professionals".
