It's too late to get a sporeprint. However, you can probably get some viable spores from the caps. You're best bet is to construct a glovebox and read up on agar techniques.

This would get better replies in the normal cultivation forum, not the advanced.. if your asking a question like that.. you clearly havnt read too much on this topic.. .. anyway.. as was previously stated.. you are too late.. far too late.. for a spore print

You can re-hydrate the cap, but I don't know if that'll help get a print. Never thought about trying it w/ a dried shroom as it would probably not be a clean print anyway.
Believe in yourself, keep an open mind and enjoy a spirited sense of adventure.

Try rehydrating some tissue and cloning the tissue on agar. Once you get a new batch of mycellium, you can do a myc water innoc and make some cakes.

If they are in a baggy, flick the bag repeatedly(loosens up spores that MIGHT still be in caps). You should have some fine dust in the bottom of the bag. Use this dust to make syringes. I have never tried it, but I know a few people that claim to have had success doing this. I'm sure it probably would work. It is worth the try. Dioze1

I know you guys think this may not belong here, but it is ligit question for this forum. I know the simple anwer to the question is no, but here in the advanced cult. forum there are answers outside of no for this question. Some people post questions that they would like more experienced answers than they may receive in the Cult. forum. This is not only a forum for Advanced questions and disscusions, but also a place to receive advanced answers. Dioze1

"Some people post questions that they would like more experienced answers than they may receive in the Cult. forum. " the cult.forum is visited by the same people as the supposed advanced cult. "This is not only a forum for Advanced questions and disscusions, but also a place to receive advanced answers. " how is some one supposedtounderstand yet alone in corperate "advanced" answers is he/she has not yet gotten the basics down? ie "syringes so i am pretty much an amateur." this forum is mainly a joke, few advanced topics are covered. Mostly the q range form trying to be "advanced" and attempting to put anything into there substrate thats to improve potency (90% of the time the topic has been already covered), to solving a easy casing problem. People don't think about there post, they just go," i think i'll try this, maybe then people on the shroomery will think i am a hard core advanced cult".

Yes, Psilocyber--that is probably the BEST effort. I purposed the syringe and dust because it is a little more likely that the person asking the question would find this solution easy enough. hubertd8: The cult forum IS not visited by the same people, neccesarilly. Yes, I understand what your saying about understanding the answer if you really don't have a grasp of the basics.(I have seen posts here pertaining to "shroom pollen") Amateurs need to ask the teachers sometimes, instead of the students. That is why we are here. What advanced disscusions have you contibuted productively to? If you feel this forum is a joke... then why do you visit? I am sorry that you feel that this forum is not up to your standards. If you have nothing PRODUCTIVE to add to this forum, then please, do not contribute. If, however, you do want to reply in a productive manner, then you are welcome any time. Dioze1

dioze1 i visit this forum quite frequently, however as i really see myself as not a advanced mush culti. i chose to just read what someof u have to say. I do however get really annoyed when i come here and see people who just a week ago asked how many g for there 1st dose and now are posting here about adding dmt into there substrate. I have more experience at this then them yet i choose to learn to control my parameters before i move on to controlled projects. I guess i just expect alot form someone who considers themself a expert at this, perhaps that is why i tend to lose my temper with q like this one. I come here to learn not to post bs, or to annoy people with simple questions. once again people UTFSE

You may be able to salvage a few spores by flicking the cap but they will prolly be contaminated. Agar work is likely inevitable. hubert, half the replys in this thread are complaints by you. If you don't like it, leave!
