personal ultrasonic humidifier

i found a personal ultra sonic humidifier. on ebay i was wondering if anyone ever used that or ever heard of anyone using that. any responses would be greatly appreciated

I've got one. Got it new at Wal-Mart for about $30. It's a pain in the ass. I love it.
Seems hard to flow it through enough stuff to avoid too many water droplets and over-humidification. I use some rubber piping with little holes wrapped around the terrarium and run it on a timer.
If you like to fiddle with a setup, go for it.

Yes, it is a pain in the ass, but oh, so sweet when you're totally automated. I've got a Sunbeam ultrasonic hooked up to three 2-liter bottles per MMGG running into two small styrofoam coolers.

A timer is a must and a digital therm/hygrometer definitely helps tweak it just right. I found that the number of 15min events each 24h period increased as the babies grew and consumed more humidity.

Finally, I've taped a coffee filter over a small fish pump and am pumping fresh air through a hole in the top of the cooler. There are small holes under the wire mesh at the bottom, and the whole cooler is sealed w/ self-stick weather stripping. The pressure from the fish pump pushes the CO2 out the bottom. No more fanning . . . ever!

I couldn't be happier with setup. Hope this helps make up your mind.

Ultra Sonic is the way to go totaly automated. Some people say its too much work, ha its half the fun. And like he says a small fish pump and your set. A buddy of mine has that same set up uses only 2 coke bottles and a timer on and off. Its the way to go and its not all that expensive.
