I got a job!

I got a job today as a sheet metal worker, building sheds and lockups. It was the easyist job I ever got. He asked me a couple of questions then said "when can you start?" lol.

Oh well, its been hard for me to get a job considering my work history so I'm gonna try stickin this one out!

Its good because I'm starting to get in debt with rent but its bad because I also have community service which I will have to do at the weekend.

Its gonna be work work work from now on.

Congrats! I graduate in June and then I lose my cushy work-study job and gotta find a real one..I'm worried.

I don't really know, dano! I'm an English major and in general I want to be a writer and travel to Japan, but I guess for the time being I'd like to work in a publishing house, for a music label, or for a movie production company. I've never had any sort of manual labor job really except when I was working out west for a photographer keeping his lab in shape. I don't think I'm too cut out for it!

Excellent work, I'm currently laid off and have a unemployment eligibility review tomorrow.

I think I'll apply for a fabricating job if I don't get called back soon.

Careful with sheet metal. It's some the most dangerous stuff you'll
ever work with, besides electricity and fire.

A guy in one of my classes has about nine stitches in his favorite
hand from a run-in with a piece of sharp sheet metal. From the way
he talks about it, he's got some nerve damage too.

I guess the lesson here is to follow ALL of the OSHA regulations,
whether or not your employer cares about them. It's for your safety, bud.

Yah thats cool.

But hey, if I'm lucky I'll get a compensation claim!
