Smoking shrooms??

I've heard smoking shrooms is a nice experience. Someone got more info like dosage, effect, dangers etc.

There is a general consensus that smoking them is a waste, psilocybin breaks down at a relatively low temp. Just eat them :smile:.

I strongly disagree with that, because I often boil my shrooms for like 20 min. to make some shroom soup. And I never noticed some differences in the potency.

you're not supposed to smoke shrooms, you're supposed to eat them. you smoke pot, not shrooms.

The rate of psilocybin breakdown increases as the temperature increases; as this Erowid link states, boiling psilocybe cubensis for ~30 min or less does not significantly affect potency; however, I cannot imagine much psilocybin will remain at the temperatures required for vaporization.

Indians smoke shrooms, they use it to understand things. I'm reading a book where they mention it several times. So I'm just wondering of someone has ever done it?

The more you push this question, the more people are going to criticize you for it. Almost NO ONE smokes their mushrooms. As already stated, the heat required to smoke mushrooms breaks down most of the active compunds, and the general concensus is that it will not work. Try doing a search next time.

As I mentioned it's a question to people that have experiences with smoking shrooms. And I think you're the one with the lag of research because you seemed really wondered with the idea of smoking shrooms.

You can do it, it might work.

I have smoked shrooms several times and have noticed little more than a light, placebo-like effect.

My friend, on the other hand, enjoys smoking shrooms... although he admits he doesn't feel much either.

Weather smoking shrooms works or not, gram for gram, eating them is a more plesant and potent way to go.

No, actually I've read about this a lot of times before. It's a topic that usually comes up in posts by people who are uneducated and unwilling to do a search. I have no question or doubt in my mind about it...I know that for the most part it doesn't work(beyond placebo effect) and is generrally a waste of mushrooms. Almost everyone here will tell you the same.

The only thing I can think of that might work would be smoking Amanita Muscaria, and I think the same goes for that...it isn't worth it.

smoking shrooms DOES work... i have gotten visuals from it before.

but it really is a waste because it's REALLY REALLY nasty and harsh to smoke and it won't last nearly as long as eatin em, and it won't make them seem more potent for that little time period, either.

smoking shrooms is the dumbest thing i've heard, it takes me 3+ grams to trip when eating, do you plan on sitting there and smoking that much? just eat it.
