Quart Jars
    #394229 - 09/14/01 11:30 AM (23 years, 2 months ago)

I own a pressure cooker that is too small for quart jars and am reluctant to but a new one. It is my ASSumption that the substrate formulas (grains ect...) for quart jar methods lead to more potent, and or healthy mushrooms. Is this assumption correct? And if so will these effects of the substrate also have an impact on mycellium and fruits when using 1/2 pint jars? Basically can i toss some grain in a 1/2 pint jar and innoculate?

Use the half pints works fine usually fill about half way to 3/4 to allow for expansion works fine if ya want bigger casings just use more half pints . mew
