Tripping at the Museum
    #3908708 - 03/12/05 06:26 PM (19 years, 1 month ago)

Okay, so a week from tomorrow, on a Sunday afternoon, my friend Larry and I are each going to eat two tabs of acid and trip the hell out. Normally I don't like making plans for trips, but Larry's only in town for this one weekend and we want to make sure we have the best time possible.

I haven't done acid in a whiiile, and neither does he. We're gonna be in NYC and I'm telling him I'd rather do a nighttime-into-dawn trip in order to avoid all the people on the streets, but then he suggested the American Museum of Natural History, coolest museum in the fucking world, and I HAVE always wanted to trip there...but I'm really nervous about like, being around little kids and stuffed foxes.

Sounds like an awesome time. I've always wanted to go to the baltimore aquarium or the smithsonian institute. Have fun.

I tripped at the Musee D'Orsay{sp} in Paris when I was younger. It was freaky. Big open rooms... every footstep echoed throughout the whole museum.

The Aquarium in boston is also cool. Hang out by the eels.

Yeah I tripped at the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam... way crazy. I had no idea what was going on, but it was great. Unfortunately I was too far out of reality to remember all the great art, but it served me well at the time. It should be fun robot, cant wait to hear about it.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I'm convinced the museum is the way to go...also...I have never tripped during the  :sun: daytime! :sun: Which seems kinda ridiculous.

I love taking hallucinogens and then going to museums. I took mushrooms and went to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, I took acid at both the Metropolitan Mueseum of Art in NY and the Philadelphia Art Institute, and once I took 100mg of morphine and walked around the Whitney Museum in Manhattan.

As long as you stay on top of your shit, museums and drugs are great together.

That's the thing, the Museum of Natural History just has all these nature exhibits...the Hall of Ocean Life has this giant squid and a huge whale and the whole place is a trip in of itself.

Yeah it would, but definitely expensive! I got in there free recently cause my sis works for an art organization that has connects and it was AMAZING but man, 22 bucks to get in otherwise is sooo much money. Like soooooooooo much!

aww I didnt realize it was expensive   There's sooo many floors though and so much to see, it's kinda worth it IMO.  Just the architecture of the building itself...is amazing.  Have fun man, and post pics!!!
