creating wireless relay
    #3902011 -

I have a wireless linksys router, I want to add an additional
one on the other end of the house that acts as a relay point
for the existing wireless network.

is this possible?

can I hardwire the router with an IP from the primary access
point, thereby creating a subnet off the main network?

Since my free time has been very limited in the past few weeks and is going to remain like that in the weeks to come, please do not PM me any mushroom cultivation related questions. I won't have time to respond.
Please use the www.shroomery.org/faq , www.shroomery.org/search and www.shroomery.org/forums instead.
Thank you for your understanding.

i dont think so. if the signal you're getting from your router is too weak i think theres things called a "booster" you can buy. you might be able to hardwire/jerry rig shit, but it might get realllly fucking complicated.

im not really positive because networks fuck with me hardcore, it takes me a while to get the hang of them everytime i mess w/ them. just tryin to help tho.

You need a wireless repeater.  This is what the device is called.  PM me or post in Science & Technology if you can't find one.

Peace :sun:
