i want a basenji sooooooo bad. it's so great and unique.

that'd be my choice.

i've heard though that if you work and stuff too much and they have alot of time by themselves they cause trouble.
apparently they're way way too smart to leave alone too long. they'll tear shit up. so i figure i'll get one after graduate school.

this dog is an angel. very quiet and well behaved. it is left alone for 8+ hours a day and does nothing wrong. Has cats to play with though. very good with children and people. I have only had a problem with her around other female dogs. doesn't bark. very good dog, but expensive.

Autralian shepperds are awesome... friendly, beautiful and will protect you if need be.

Border collies are good too, smart friendly and can be very LOUD.

Dogs are man's best friend, and this is the truth.

I love dogs!

no other dog has as much personality as a basenji IMO.

they will hunt animals, and catch them.. she catches birds and squirrels. I don't trust her walking around off the lesh around traffic though, they have a short attention span.

my #1 choice is a basenji, i just think i need a backyard, a bigger apartment or more time to hang with it.. do i?

did you have to go through alot of training with it to get it to behave as well as it does?


also my parents have a golden retriever and a boder collie, i love them they're neat. just a bit too big for what i want at this point in life. i want an aussie shepard or even an irish wolfhound when i get a house after grad school.

She was abandoned,wandering the neighborhood, about 3 months old. And she is a sweety, unless you happen to be a squirrel, opossum ,skunk, groundhog, or small yappy type dog. :shrug:
