dried shroom smell???

I was drying my shrooms with a 60 watt bulb and a black t-shirt. Before that i had it in a jar of rice because i was away for a couple of days. I noticed yesterday that my shrooms had a weird smell to it. Kind of sour i guess not really but that's the best i can describe it. The shrooms do not break like cracker dry but they are very dry but still are bendable. Should i throw these ones out? Are they spoiled? A timely response is greatly appreciated.
