Humidity w/no perlite...

Another question, my humidity has been way too high w/perlite. does anybody know if i could just lay down a layer of rye in a container with air pump for air exchange and still get high enough humidity? i saw Isis' setup with DB kit, and the terrerium has more than high enough humidity. any thoughts?

That works well. To induce pinning, you can raise the humidity by misting the sides of the terrarium.

If you apply a casing on the rye(what you probably will) you shoild have enough humidity that way.
