The best way to get 85% humidity in a terrarium?

Should I use perlite or just mist a few times a day if i want around 85% rh for my casing?

You should definitely use at least perlite. And why would you want 85% anyways, that's a little low for fruiting.

perlite dude is the way to go u wont have to mist as many times infact i get away with once daily...your mileage may vary though...depending on the conditions your setup is in....get your self a nice digital hygrometer...should not cost you much do a search for it here and ppls have already done the work for ya..... Peace out wooops for casings pardon my error...i dint see that mistings should do just fine..remeber the water is already there in the casing mix...you just have to mist lightly...just so the top layer dont dry up...

I want 85% rh because i have a casing. The optimum fruiting rh should be between 90-95%, but since there is a casing layer, there is extra humidity so around 85% should do.

ah ok - I didn't see the casing part either - yeah you should be fine with just misting, agree with meta.

I dont forsee the higher humidity perlite gives you as a problem... i would just keep raising the water level in the perlite slightly until it gives you 85%, you should be able to keep adding water to it to get the exact right amount.
