Casing thickness

Ok i have a tray culture substrat is about 2 1/2 inches thick and casing is little over an inch. My question is can i increase the casing to get a bigger flush.(i am happy how it is now, i just want to improve).

No, with this substrate depht 1 inch of casing is more than enough.

ok how do i need to water them, with out disterbing them.
or is that enough untill the next flush.
I want to max out the fruiting if at all possible.

You can water them with a fine nozzle(spray bottle) Don?t overdo it, the casing should be moist, not wet.
