making a porn with friends...

posted in OTD, but wanted the pub's opinion on this...


well, it came up between a couple of us guys. we talked about it for the last week, seriously and joking...

the situation presented itself today that i ask the two girls (close friends of mine) if they would do it. the two actually hate each other, but i am good friends with both. the guy who wants to do it with me isn't really friends with either, and i have to work him into the picture.

one is broke, and unemployed. i gave her a 100 bucks today just to help her out. she would fuck me for free if i didn't have a girlfriend. said she'd do it for $500, me alone with a camera. i was psyched, though i've known all along she wanted to fuck me.

the other i just finished talking to about it. an ex girlfriend (nailed her before) and current friend. she said she wouldn't do it right now, as she is seeing someone, but asked me if i would actually go through with it... then, with a cute smile, said "maybe later" we talked about it for a while, and she was pissed that i wouldn't offer her more than the other girl (so she thought) she's a little cuter, and slutier too.

both are attractive, and worth doing. worried about messing things up with both of them friendship wise... anyone got any words of wisdom, insight, or experience? wondering about legalities as well.

anybody ever shoot a porn? it would probably be for my personal collection, (maybe friends when we're really drunk once)

I knew someone in college who did something very funny.

He and his girlfriend had a very bitter breakup.  One day he got a letter in the mail from her.  She had included a picture of her giving another guy a blowjob.  She obviously was trying to get a rise out of the ex-boyfriend.

So, the ex-boyfriend sent the picture to her parent's house and included a note that said, "Having fun at college.  Love, XXXXX".

Some advice from a friend who's an expert on this sort of thing. (Not me, honestly.)

I've been shooting porn for many years, for my own collection, and for a few sites that I've been developing. I have a few tips for you.

First off, Paying $500 for a girl to make a porno with you that is just for your personal stash is excessive. As far as personal stashes go, you're better off sticking with girls who will have sex with you for free. Not necisarilly for moral reasons (Although those are often important, and you may find yourself haunted by it later), but also for legalities. If you're making porn, it's legal. If you're paying a girl for sex, it's not. The line is blurred, and the laws aren't particularly clear on the subject, but if I were you I'd make it a point to look them up more extensively, because I wouldn't put it past a prosecutor to nail you for pandering and soliciting prostitution.

I've never paid for sex, "professionally" or otherwise (My business partner was the performer), though I have worked on some deals for a site I'm working on for the future. My experience from it is that you need to be very, very careful all around, and make damned sure the girl signs a contract to the extent of her involvement, and the release of the video, as well as make damned sure both you and the girls are sober at the time of the shoot, and contract signing.

Also, while I mean no disrespect to you, I get the impression that you don't fully understand the consequences of what you're doing. Before you go any farther, make sure you think about it very seriously. What if the tape got out? What if the girl decided you were mistreating her and filed suit against you for rape/coersion? Do you really want to have sex with these girls if you think you really value their friendship? If "Yes" to the last one, you should also note that paying a friend for sex makes the social dynamics even more tricky. Like, seriously tricky. Very, very tricky.

I'm also a polyamorist (Not polygamist, biiiig difference), which makes these matters an easier ethical choice for me. You may want to seriously weigh what you're doing here with your goals and hopes for the rest of your life. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, if you decide to do it, make sure it's legal, then go for it. I'm just saying. Make sure you fully understand the consequences of your actions.

Oh, and if the girls are uncomfortable with your friend being involved, don't push them. Seriously, at all. You can ask, but if you push them, not only will you risk alienating your friendship (Which I consider my biggest priority, business be damned), but you'll also be risking more "legally actionable" positions.

I was involved in shooting some porno once. There are two big things to know when shooting porno. First, once you shoot porno, you will never again be able to enjoy watching it. All you will see is where the cuts are, how the lighting is set up, all the fuckin details, and it will all seem so much more fake then it did pre-shoot.

The other is that shooting a porno tape is WORK not FUN. You have to get lighting right, sound right, you have to make sure the framing of the scene is right, that it doesn't look staged, etc. It's hard to make porno. It's difficult to stay hard between takes or get hard on demand after changing the camera angle for the twentieth time.

From the sounds of things, if you make porno, you would lose your love of porno, lose your friends, lose your money, end up with liability from lawsuits (unless you spend around 2,000 on a lawyer to create a business), and not even have a good porno. Don't do it.

Fucking asshole. It's fucking ridiculous that shit like that is only traumatic when it happens to girls. A guy who sat there and fucked ten girls woulda been a stud if they played the video at a party. That sort of shit is part of the reason suicide is a big deal among teenagers. She deserved it, she cheated on her man! Maybe there is more to the story, like a guy who would do shit like that is probably the same type of guy who would try and hurt her before it happened, or, at least, is very sadistic and probably not a great guy even pre-cheating. This girl is going to think about this every day for the rest of her life, is going to spend years in therapy or suffering from anxiety symptoms, and is probably at a hugely increased risk of killing herself, and it's funny because she broke a rule about gender and was hornier then society said she should be. Idiots.
