question on strain saving

My friend received a print from the FSR and made his own syringe. Apparently he was not sterile enough because his two test jars got contaminated with the same color mold about 80& colonizating. He belives the problem to be the syringe since he had problems while making it. Is there anything he can do to save the strain? I thought perhaps he could take a healthy part of mycellium and use it to innoculate either honey water or a PF cake. Any idea?

the only way to get of 100% of the bacteria is to sterilize. however that would most likely kill 100% of the mycelium. i am not positive but i am pretty sure your fucked

You could try a slice of non bactira infected mycelium in a new jar of substrate. It might grow. You may want to try 2 jars that way and on 1 of the jars use a 10% h2o2 and 90% h2o to quickly soak the mycelium in to kill the Contams before putting in to the substrate. can't hurt.
What starin is it by the way. I may have a print of it i can jsut send you it will be easier.

Cambodian, but I dont need your print. If I really want to save it I will just spend $12 on a new sterile syringe. Thank-You for offering though.
