the fact that the fruit salad trees and tomato trees lack real photos and are shown only in artists rendition suggests to me that results may vary, in the sense that results may be very poor. i reckon this flash-in-pan gardening company doesn't expect to be in buissness under the same name when people start wanting their money back.
basically im pretty sure they are selling grafts. if you want a tomato tree i suggest grafting a tomato plant onto a young brugmansia. solocatious fruit plant on a solocatios tree rootstock. 20 hours of direct sun a day, pots the size of a volswagon, and carcinogenic levels of fertilizer and plant hormones later, you got yorself a tomato tree.

the cheapest stuff available, my brother and I were just kids and we knocked over
the can that we kept the dog food in, mom had some tomatos growing just off the
porch and a good bit got dumped there, about a month later the plants started
growing rapidly
here is a picture of a zukini I grew using dogfood as a fertilizer, what the
coyotes didnt dig up anyway

with the fruit salad trees (apples for the example) the generaly graft a scion
to a dwarfing or semi-dwarfing rootstock like the M-11, the allow it a few years

my dogfood method produced 7 foot plants with stems that exceeded 3 inches, the
fruits were about 2lbs and the plants only got full sun for half the day, as you
can see with my Zukini, the results are quite suprising, using planting methods
that are based on those used by the indians for more than a thousand years...
carrots ad tomatos improve the flavor of each other and the carrots benefit the
tomatos bu pulling nutrients from deep in the soil with their long tap root,
pole beans and corn do well together because the corn provides a trellis for
the beans and the beans provide nitrogen that the corn needs. plant squash
around the garden and you'll eliminate racoons as a pest, they dont like the vines

Using dog food is a very old method.
Any pelleted food (especially rabbit food) high in alfalfa works, as it contains a natural growth hormone.

incorrect, dogfood may have been used for some time but there isnt any growth
hormones, it's pointless, what dogfood does contain is essential micro and macro
nutrients that people often neglect to put in their gardens, things like blood and
bone meal, boron and selenium and a host of other things... it's pointless and
senseless for a dogfood manufacturer to use additions like growth hormones in dog
foods, most of the US doesnt eat dog so what would be the point in bulking them up
if there are any, it's Bovine Growth Hormones as a residual from the cattle thats
processed for dog food, and contrary to popular belief, most farmers arent pumping
antibiotics and hormones into these cows, they are not isolated into tiny pens
and fattened up all their lives, it's not cost effective as it makes for sick cattle and antibiotics wont help...

Alfalfa naturally contains a growth hormone. It is used in some dog foods, especially ones for young dogs as it is high in calcium.
You're correct in saying that the benefit from dog food is largely from the slurry of animal biproducts they use. I try to grow organically so I don't use dog food anymore, however, from my trials with rabbit food (containing no animal biproducts, mainly just alfalfa meal) it is a superior fertilizer

something most people arent aware of with commercial organics is that 90% of whats grown is done from Geneticly Modified seed, seek out the heirloom varieties if you
can, sometimes they are hard to find and recently one of the large seed companies
has begun to carry several varieties of heirlooms. in a couple of weeks I should
have a list for planting that will benefit your garden, you'll need no ferts

Alfalfa contains the hormone, Triacontanol, a plant growth regulator. The primary boost comes from the millions of microbes in the fermented meal that activate the soil organisms that then convert nutrients into forms available to plants.
The saponins are also hormone precursors AFAIK
