Yea so i was dickin off with my mushers upstairs, finished up and started to head downstairs.

For some reason right before I made it to the stairs I was thinking about how Deathclock.com said I had 39 years to live.

I started to walk down the stairs, braving the darkness because the hall light is screwed up, and still thinking about silly deathclock website and my 39 years to live.

I then slipped on a stair because I couldn't see shit...just about went falling head over heels plummetting to my immediate death.
Luckily one of my flailing hands managed to grab the banister section before my body could be brutalized by man's worst enemy, gravity.

Imma go try to fix that light!

that's called coincidence.

Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs

unfortunately, falling as a result of walking down stairs in pitch dark while
preoccupied with other things is exactly what I would have expected to
have happened.

go check that spelling list again, homie.

I almost fell down the stairs and died right then.

That is not congruent with what was expected.

That would mean that anything suprising is ironic.

Irony is more like if you give someone a pill to cure them, and it ends up killing them. Lame example, but it's actual irony.

Sorry guy, but the only way that story was going to be ironic is if you all of the sudden became 39 and died.

Irony is more like a firetruck on fire.

irony would be if youre death clock said todya was your day, and you were like "haha, stoopid website, tryin to scare me" and then you died, AND THEN the people at death clock were like "hehe, we dont even know what were doing."
