Is my cake ok?

Hey all, I just misted my terrarium and I got some misting water on the top of my cake. Like a minute later there was a green-blue spot that wasn't there before which means bruising right? The cake was pretty dry to begin with but is there anything i should do?

Is it alright if i mist my cake? Won't it make it more susceptible to contams if i do? Thanks Puscle you always help me out when i have questions.

Another question (i apologize) My casing that is in the same terrarium is starting to pin; should i continue misting the casing and the sides of the terrarium?

if you think your cake is a little dry, do a dunk tek for a few hours and let it rehydrate. for your casing, continue to spray the sides of the terrarium. I stil gently mist my casings after they start to pin. I haven't had any contams yet, but now that I just said that, you know I will now.

I don't know shit about cakes. If you're sure it's dry, set it directly on the perlite for a couple of days.
Stop misting your casings as soon as you see pins. Wet pins have the tendency to abort.

Thanks for the help my fellow members of the shroomery. This is my first batch ever (but not the last) so i'm just a bit paranoid that i won't even get off the ground. I just want to make sure that i'm doing everything right so my "project" will grow. Thanks again.
