? about fruiting cake in terrarium

Hey all,
I have a question regarding the fruiting chamber. I have 1 pf cake in a shoebox sized, red translucent tuperware box with a lid, sitting on a canning lid. the bottom is covered with perlite. I've been fanning about twice a day manualy.
Is this setup workable? Is the fact taht I keep the lid on tight going to hurt? Should i drill holes in the side of the box for more air exchange? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks,

If you fan twice a day, then for 1 cake this sized container is OK. Most likely also for 2 to 3.
