Shroom on a full or empty stomach?

I have taken shrooms about 5 times now, each time I have eaten about half an 1/8th. The last two times I have taken them I had eaten a couple of hours before taking the shrooms and both times I have thrown up, I was wondering if it was because I ate before hand.
So my question is should you shroom on a full or empty stomach? Also is it important to drink a lot of fluids while you shroom?

Sometimes, if I'm up for it, I'll fast for a few days and then trip. It is the best way, but so hard to control a healthy appitite.

I've always found that fasting not only reduces the chance of getting badly nauseaous, but the trip seems to have less 'body load' or physical discomfort in general.

Sometimes any uncomfortable feelings (like having eaten too recently before dosing) in your body can be translated to your mind and turn a pleasant trip into a not-so-good one. Whatever happens inside you (mentally/physically) is going to be mirrored/experienced by you on the outside (visually etc.) during a trip.
