shrooms on a full stomach?

If someone I know wanted to take shrooms, but hadn't been fasting all day, would this be reccommended? Is the reason for an empty stomach to do with the absorbtion into your body, or nausea or anything?

I, on the other hand, have observed that when I eat the day I trip, the potency is noticably lower...... I always fast before trip now because of this.

I agree strumpling.  It is not something that has been theorized that much here on the shroomery over the years but I truly suspect this after taking someone's advice on some and finding myself in a much deeper state than I was told to expect. 

The friend I got them from doesn't grow much and they came from the same batch.. only the particular ones I had were 2 months after the ones the friend had tried (at same quantity).

Food for thought.  Be careful on an empty stomach :smile:

yeah, I never bought in to the whole don't eat before you trip thing, but I found out first hand that it is better not to eat at least for a few hours before you trip. My friend and I went out to eat some pizza, came back like an hour later and split 56 wet grams of shrooms and it barelly felt like we hit a level one. Although I did try the shrooms with soup deal on another occasion and I tripped balls for a good 5 hours.

that's probably not a good idea.. wait until AFTER the peak to eat lol.....

you'll get all distracted otherwise and might not be able to finish your meal

well, how about after you eat the shrooms, but before it comes on?


(sorry, Ive only tripped on acid, I'm growing my first batch of shrooms right now tho ^_^)

thats the same as eating right before you consume them...... dude do whatever you want; you'll still trip - i don't know why food seems to be such a big deal

i agree, i like to have a little bite to eat first. not a huge meal, but definately not on an empty stomach..

I usually like to eat a nice (tuna I've heard helps) sandwich 3 to 4 hours before I eat my mushies. I have taken them with food, and right after a light meal and noticed some decrease in trip. I also feel more lethargic and experience some "stomache churning" if I eat too close to trip time.

The main reason I avoid eating shrooms on a full stomach is because eating shrooms and trying to get them down while you've got a bloated stomach can increase the nausea tenfold. I prefer to have a light meal 3 hours before eating the shrooms.
