Can't say that I have, but it would work. It would get rid of that terrible taste, but it would come on slower. Maybe poking a little hole in the cap would make it come on faster...

If you're only as young as you feel I died 3 years ago.

different caps have different timed releases...I'm going thru a dry spell but I'm gunna try it soon.

Works just fine. Did this a couple years ago with a whole bunch of weak Pan. subbs. Got to where I couldn't deal with the flavor of the dried shrooms or the tea anymore, in the quantity required, so I ground 'em up & stuffed 'em into 00 gelcaps. Swallowed down smooth--no more gag reflex--but onset of effects was delayed compared to other methods. Took about 90 minutes to start feeling anything, & then they crept up real slow.

90 minutes? Sounds perfect if you have to get somewhere before the trip starts - like concerts, theme parks, church, etc... ;o)

actually, OO size caps with powdered shrooms in it would proly digest faster since its such a fine powder, so theres more surface area of the mushroom touching the acid, so then you would digest it much faster, thus getting it into your system faster....

Bluehoney-- Try this: Take some freshly dried mushies, put them in a coffee grinder, grind them into as fine a powder as possible... take your dose (I usually eat about 1.5 of mine... but then I grow mine at around 45-50 C which makes a great difference in potency) and put it in a glass of orange juice... try to stir it in as best you can (most of mine stay afloat, but it still works)... leave the shrooms in there for a minute or two till the powder becomes as saturated as it is gonna get with OJ and give it one last stir before drinking it down... (make sure you get all the shit off the sides too :-) if you do this on an empty or half empty stomach I garuntee you will be pleasantly surprised... report back if you do try it :-)
PS- I have made capsules on several occasions... I find it to be too time consuming though, although it does work nicely... I use the same tek with the grinding and can usually get about .5g into one 00 cap... the OJ method definately works better though... on a completely empty stomach (about 3 hours after waking up) I did this and could feel my pre-trip warning going off in about 5 minutes (no joke)

Hi, back in the middle 1970s I use to cap Psilocybe cyanescens into 00 gel caps.

I would get approximately 45 doses per dried ounce.

I use to smash the shrooms on a flat surface with a hammer and then I would grind them by hand with an aluminum tea strainer of high strenght.

Of course the high was a little fst. Sometimes I made 50 doses with a dried ounce. That was a good high. Each dose was the equivelant of approximately 25 milligrams.

With liberty caps it would average about 35-40 capsules per dried ounce.

As for Panaeollus subbalteatus, by weight it is the same anmount as P. cubensis byu weight.

One fresh ounce or more and from 3 to five grams dried.

Of course the Panaeoli are a gagg your throat mushroom, but that is also part of the trip.
A 00 capsule holds close to a half a gram of crushed shrooms.
