HELP! Packing gel-caps with shroom powder!

Hey gang,

I have some caffiene gel-caps that have 450 mg of caffiene, are they 00 pills? I hear around here that 00 gel-caps are supposed to hold exactly 500 mg. How do you pack the gel-cap, i mean do you only fill the big part of the pill and put the other side on? Do you pack the powder down with something?

Need some help here,

Well, its going to be pretty damn hard to do it without a capsule filling machine gimmick. You can get one from like www.capsuleconnection.com. In the meantime you could get a block of wood and drill holes in it to hold the caps (I think there is a howto in the dose section of the shroomery). Basically with the machine you stick the large halves of the capsules in there (it holds like 24) you pour the powder over the top and rake it back and forth to fill the caps
then tamp it down with the little tool they give you or a pencil then keep filling. You put the other half of the caps in the other half of the machine
then you put the top on and press down and your capsules fall out. The 00 capsules weigh 100 - 120mg so you will be 600-620 when filled.

So you only pack down the larger end of gel-cap and then just put the other side on?

Fill the side with the smaller diameter. You can probly fit a little more in the end of the other side.

I ordered the 00 capsule machine from some company. Came in a green box with a tamping tool.

Each one ended up having a bit of space left and holding .33g in each one though for some odd reason..
They were 00..
And the machine top would not hold the capsule tops in place, they would fall out when i would go to put them over the spaces.

The capsules worked very well. Seemed to come on fast and hit suddenly sometimes, 5g in capsules was enough for what seemed to be ego death.

why dont you just make em into tea... and put them in a drink and put it on a carry on, or wherever they wont suspect a thing, id feel safe doing it

It is my experience that OO capsules hold between 0.5-0.8gr of Cubie powders.
The coming up takes longer, but the dosing is easy, since every cap is about of equal strenght. Store them in glass/metal (like a small jar) in a freezer below -20'C or about 4'C. They'll store for years on end in that way. Remember: oxygen (air), light and heat are the enemies here. Properly dried shrooms do NOT spoil if stored in this way. Hope to have helped!

I plan on storing my casuels in the fridge now.....

I never heard light and air were enemies, i know they destroy LSD but never heard it about our special mushroom.

What i did was get a coffie grinder, put all mushrooms in there and grind until powder. Then i emptied 10 caffien pills(00 gel-caps) and filled with psilly powder by hand. Took about 1 hour but its worth the work!

Sorry Fd.. no fridge-experience to help you with, just freezer-experience...

At 5'C (f#ck the fahrenheit conversion table: I mean fridge temperature) I would guess that they'll keep from months to a year or so, but that's guesswork. You would shred alot of strenght if your shrooms are high in the Psilocin-department.

The worst kind of light is UV like in sunlight. Think of what the sun does to paints & plastics, let alone our fragile shroom! Oxygen may oxidate (duh..) Psilocin into a quinone with no beneficial fx: potency loss. Psilocybin-destroying enzymes in the shrooms themselves are the major reason that shrooms must be dried to remain potent. Heat above -20'C or about 4'F leads to loss of Psilocin and to a lesser extent Psilocybin too. A certain chemical company sells Psilocin to "Established institutions with DEA license only" and states it should be kept under -20'C, which is good enough for me.

Can anybody PLEASE get me a DEA license?!

Would start a new thread but my ability to post is not present at the moment.  Does anyone have a very clear contrast between just eating mushrooms straight vs. gel caps?

a. is one longer than the other
b. does one have a longer come-up
c. does packing the gel caps make the overall experience less intense?

I think this is the oldest thread i have seen necro'd in a while

That said i'm fairly sure there is no difference between capsules and raw mushrooms except maybe onset because it will take a bit for your stomach to break down the capsules

If you dont feel like buying a capsule machine, there is a neat little trick you can do.

Take a piece of cardboard (this is with 00 caps by the way)
Poke through with pencil
Put gel cap half in hole, it should fit perfectly snug
Put w/e in gel cap
Hold bottom of gel cap from the other side of cardboard, and push the other side on to it.

That is all. Basically kind of how the capsule machine works.

Capsule machines are neat and quite useful for a recreational drug user, yet when it comes to mushrooms, I go with tea. Mushrooms don't taste that bad, there is no point in gelcapping them. :shrug:
