mold on drying shrooms?

Hi, these are Copelandia Cyanescens shrooms with what appears to be a white mold over parts of them. They ended up in a plastic bag in a person's pocket for over 24 hours when they were only partially dried. They also smell somewhat musty/milldewed. Does the white stuff make them unsafe to eat? Thanks!

Provided that each and every one of those mushrooms was positively identified as Copelandia, then yes, they are fine to eat. That white stuff is common with dried copelandia

Would I eat the mushrooms in that picture?
No. lol. no way man i would go and get more fresh ones without that white gunk on them. Lets say that i was just your average shroomless-joe.. then i would sort through your pile and only eat the stems..and also any caps that dont have the white on them.

Thanks, I'm going to post this same thing in the Cultivation section to try and get some more information on it. I can't get more of these shrooms, and I'd really like to find a way to make them edible. Do you know for sure that the white stuff is not OK to eat? By the way, they are definitely Copelandia Cyanescens. Thanks!

i think u missed it.... GGreatone said they *ARE* ok to eat, granted they are cyans, its just that when they look *THAT* disgusting (no offense, but thats what happenswhen you don't dry rite... hehe good pun)..... u'll be fine, its just that they aren't the most delectible shrooms ever.
