You should try introducing him to Gnosticism and the Gospel of Thomas if he's into Christianity, maybe it'll inspire him to find his true Self rather than following the church.

Yes, it's definately possible, some of the most religious experiences of my life occured while on LSD....I got faith in a higher power during my first trip. If he says it's not the acid, my guess is that it really was the acid trip.....and it went very deep, very personal, and perhaps terrifying, and he just doesn't want to talk about it. As long as he's happy.... :tongue2:

Heh, i've actually met one or two Christians that we're actually tolerant, compassionate and not stuck-up individuals... :lol: Most are the opposite though...let me add my condolences to yours.  :wink: :lol:

Welll, according to the Christian dogma, believers must be born again. All of them. So, in saying this, you are also saying that all Christians are bad. I don't believe that and I think that you are being a little harsh in your statement. Look at the Rev. Billy Graham. He has done alot for this world in which we live. I will not go to far into this whole subject, but I know that there are some decent people out there that are Christians. Every group has it's demons, because we are human and prone to corruption.

By the way, I meant no ill will in what I said.

It's just that if I recall he was publicly caught lying on tape about anti-semetic remarks he made to Nixon in the 70's. As well as the fact that he get's paid a hefty salary for his "spiritual work"...

He is an evangelist, but he does no "healing" on any sort. You might be thinking of Benny Hinn. He is a joke evangelist that does the whole touching/pushing on the peoples' foreheads that "heal" the people of various maladies and they fall out on the ground and claim that they are healed from the demons that inflict us with PAIN!!!lol That guy is a douche bag.

Billy Graham is more of a teacher than anything else.

Plus I may have been a little harsh in saying that you shouldn't think. I get carried away sometimes. Sorry.

I was just playing around with the search function and stumbled onto the thread.  The lyrics are from Ben Folds - Not the Same, which is about a kid who takes acid at a party and climbs a tree, and stays up there after everyone else has gone home.  The next day he comes down and has become a born again christian.  cheers :sun:
