    #3719374 - 02/02/05 02:08 PM (19 years, 2 months ago)

Hello all, I went to walmart about 15 mins ago to find that they dont sell pressure cookers. Do they go by a different name at walmart? And are rice cookers the same thing, the sales person said it was but i wasn't cetian. I think im just going to go to sears.

I don't think Sears will have any. I went to two of them and they said they didn't carry at this time of year. Your walmart prolly put away the seasonal stuff also. (I know mine did in my area). But, usally they still have the cookers at WM year round'

sounds like you encountered a clueless employee who wouldn't know a pressure cooker if it bit them on the ass

I got the Presto 23-quart from Wally world online, delivered to my door for 100 bux.

Really no complaints about it at all....nice and big. Only thing is you gotta press the pressure valve down to make it pop up because it wont' do it on it's own, no big deal though really.

Took me two or three walmart searches to find the pressure cookers. When you find the area with the pots and pans, look in the isles on each way over and over until you (hopefully) find them. I got my 8q mirro for some $43 a month ago in store. kmart.com shows some nice ones on their website, maybe your local kmart would have some?

PC being seasonal... (I cook year round, more in winter...) The manager was just giving you an excuse!

I purchased mine from sears. I have always seen them in sears.
I have seen them in some wal-marts, some targets.

My advice would be to fork over the extra money and get it off the net, or from some other local that sells the better ones. (A lot of the ones I see in sears are all 8PSI to 13PSI.)
