I bought a 8 quart 30 dollar pressure cooker from them. It perfectly holds 4 quart jars or I think 12 half pints. Not sure on the psi but I have had no prob with contamination of my grain jars. I always pc'ed for 90 min so couldn't tell you how well it performs with less of a cooking time.

I got a Mirro 6 qt. from Wal-Mart. It only holds 2 qts at a time or 5 pints/10 half pints. It's worked alright but it seems to be getting a good deal of wear and tear from repeated 90 min PC sessions.

Here is the one I purchased from Wally World and it can hold up to three wide mouth pint jars.

Get the Mirro 8qt. It looks just like the one above, but it's 8qt. instead of 4.2. I got mine for 39.99 at wal-mart. It works good and is adjustable for 5,10, and 15 psi. It can hold 4 qt. jars.

Wal-mart carries like 4-5 different PCs. Doesn't mean they will all be instock. They have the 4.2, 2 - 6qts, 8qt(maybe 2), and the 23qt. I think that is all they carry. They are way expensive though.

I bought a 23 qt pressure canner off ebay for $20, with $15 for shipping. I haven't put qts in there yet, but it will PC 24 half pints, regular or wide mouthed. May be able to actually do 32 if you used 24 regular and 8 wide mouthed. Will try it sometime.

Ebay is the way to go though. Best bang for your buck.

Dude dont get some crap Pc from Walmart!!!!
if you plan to stick with this hobby , and or have dreams of making stacks of cash you need a reall PC that can hold at vary least 7 quart jars, i have two PCers 1 that hold 7 quart jarts and one that holds 14 quart jars, i am saving money not to get one that holds 19 quart jars becase i spent too much time PCing even if i only did it 1 or 2 times each month , at 2 or 4 quart jars at a time you cant really do much, and plus a good PC can be used for so much i cook with mine all the time you can make kick as ribs or bean , or tomato sause from scrach, if you cant wate to get a good one you have no chance makeing any real quanty of musheys
here are links to the best PC on earth
All-American ?Steam Pressure Sterilizers
All-American ? Pressure Canners
this place has the best prices i have seen any where

I bought mine at Wal*Mart, an 8 quart Mirro. Works great. I cultivate for my amusement only, so I have no need for a monster PC.

If you can't wait for a pressure cooker off Ebay.

Try to find a 21 Quart Presto...at Walmart or a hardware store.
Maybe even try at a 2nd hand store...I've seen some there.

The All Americans are the best...but I'd take a Presto 21 quart in a pinch.

I bought a New All American #930 off Ebay for $200.00 including shipping...that is cheap!~

My first pc was an All American #910 off Ebay for $30.00 including shipping.
I still use it today for agar and sterilizing small stuff.
The #910 will do 10 widemouth 1/2 pint jars...and it will do 4 Quart jars.
A good pressure cooker to get started with.
