Okay, so I have a few cakes going. Tried searching, didn't find anything looking like this. Half I put perlite in and I didn't sterilize the perlite so those cakes got DESTROYED by contamination...yellow mold, red crap, green, everything. I recommend sterilizing perlite. Anyway I didn't put anything on the other 3. They sit in a small sterilized airtight rubbermaid container so they don't have contact with contaminants as far as I know. Anyhow, so I was looking at what I have left after the contam slaughter, and found some spiky looking things...They reminded me of the taproot that comes out of plants when you first begin growing them. Is this contamination or jut weird growth? It has been 2 weeks since inocculation if that helps.Here are some pictures.
