Greatest Canadian album of the nineties.
    #3683878 - 01/26/05 05:26 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

I vote for Scenery and Fish, by I Mother Earth, but Edges of Twilight by The Tea Party was great as well.

The nineties was actually a pretty good time for Canadian rock.

Alanis Morrisette, Jagged Little Pill. Back when she was all angsty, before she got philosophical.

I wanted to say the Barenaked Ladies ( I think that they are Canadian) but they rock more now....now that they have established themselves as more then a bunch of goofballs.

Scenery and Fish was pretty good too.

I have to admit, Jagged Little Pill was a monster album.

Phred

That one rocks....

I have been SOOOooooo stuck on listening to The Tea Party lately, I have 4 of them in my 5 disc CD changer, and I just turn it on and let it repeat....
Seven Circles
Tangents (collection)
TRIPtych
and Interzone Mantras

Good stuff....
Reminds of a Doors kind of feel, with some neat eastern scales thrown into an up to date sound....
Very tastefully done....

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.
