1. The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute 2. Porcupine Tree - Deadwing 3. Blandbladen - I have no idea what their album is called, but you can download it at their site. Its awesome psychedelic space rock. 4. Ott - Blumenkraft and Hallucinogen In Dub (he's the greatest electronic music engineer out there) 5. Talisman - An AWESOME psychedelic dub compilation CD
And I don't have a top 5 song list, too difficult to narrow down as of now.

Songs- Strapping Young Lad- Love? Blind Guardian- The Bards Song Iron Maiden- The Trooper Umphrey's McGee- Wife Soup My Dying Bride- For My Fallen Angel(One of the saddest songs I've ever heard, yet still very beautiful)

I have tried on multiple occasions to tell this forum about Secret Chiefs 3..... no seemed to care. Trey Spruance and John Zorn are the two greatest composers of our time, also quite possibly the two most neglected...

Book M and Book of Horizons will blow the lid off all your western developed tastes and plunge you into the beauty that is eastern scales. These two albums are quite possibly the most epic sounding thing. When I listen to them, I get the feeling Im on the verge of changing the world.... but usually im just driving around in my car.

Hell yeah it is. The title track's opening riff reminds me of a deranged version of the "Ohhhh weeee Ohhhh....weeee ohhhhhh oh" the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz sang Maybe that's just me though.
