jar 100% - 3 kernels on VERY bottom green mold
    #3681972 -

hey!

so i got these 2 jars here that are 100% besides a few kernels on each
jars VERY bottom that got little green dots on them, obviously green mold.

anyway, i really dont feel like tossing them so i thought about
spooning the substrate out of them till like one inch above where these
dreaded grains are .. would you do that or would you simply trashcan the
whole jar?

if i am to do that, and that's quite likely  i should stay safe..
shouldnt i?
peace ohm :mushroom2:

*edit*
thats the first time i am even thinking about using such a jar
but since they are my babies, i REALLY wanna use them..

jars are bigger than quarts, so what about injecting some h2o2 water
inside .. that should also get me on the safe side shoulnd it?

shaking up the baby is no option at all due to the spores..
maaaaan :frown:

I never have been a good tosser myself. In Holland we have a saying: dont throw the baby away with the badwater.

Many people will yell toss it toss it. If I were you I would try to save some.

Do as you say, and look carefull there can be more greenmold in it. Then case it or spwan or whatever. Probably there ARE greenmold spores in other places of your grain but you must be able to get a flush or 2 before the green evil wins!!

I did similar with an infected strawbed. Cut healthy parts out and cased it. I have pins now in all 3 rescua casings..

I'd spoon a little out for a g2g transfer and see what happens... I think it'd be better to see if you got a contaminated transfer jar than fuck you're whole grow area up w/a massive green mold infection.

You could attempt surgery .

Dig out what is good , and leave behind enough good material to act like a barrier to keep nasties in their place . Very risky though .
G2G would not be wise IMHO , you risk trashing more materials . Where as surgery you may get lucky !
