Holy shit! Joanna Newsom? she is so awesome, that's a pretty good line-up. but I see a few groups on there that might bring a bunch of assholes to the place like Mars Volta, Dave Matthews, and Modest Mouse. I hope Buckethead makes another appearance, Praxis and Material were fucking out of this world crazy.

I think a lot of the "fitch kids" were there for DMB. I've been to some old shows and a couple of recent shows and I've seen a definite shift in the crowd dynamic from the shows I was at in 97-98. My lady and I went to the last too Roos.... but I am mightly considering passing this year and maybe hitting some smaller, closer fests.

Ive really been digging the mars volta for a while. They dont seem like DMB style group to attract that crowd, but whatever i really like them and would like to see them in concert.

I will be going again. Allman bros too.

Anyone have any ideas on ticket price? I have read that they will be more this year. I'm buying just a pair and going with my girl this year instead of four tix like last year.

Allman Brothers, WSP, Yonder Mountain all entice me to come, but I don't really care for OAR, DMB, and Mouse and the corresponding crowds they will draw.  At least I'll have more time to meet shroomerites during those sets :smile:

Im gonna go i think. I just hope that not too many dmb kids go and ruin the vibes, or go for the drugs. I am a dave fan i must say, but the crowds at the shows blow. The lineup is pretty solid with umphrey's and panic, but i wish the dead were going again this year. Im still gonna bring my good vibes and have a great roo again.. Rob

Remember guys, it's just an initial lineup of artists. They'll be adding more as they get confirmed all the way up until the show. But this lineup looks pretty killer. I was hoping DMB would make it this year, and Umphrey's I KNEW was gonna come back for more. WSP is gonna be a blast. I'm happy about Modest Mouse and the Allman Brothers. And I didn't get to see Yonder Mountain so I'm glad they're coming again.
It's gonna be a rockin Bonnaroo this year everyone! Just keep the good vibes flowin.

Yeah ive talked to my friends we will be there again.  I met cosmic charlie and adom last year and i would love to meet more of you crazies.

hmm...a little disappointing, with the exception of widespread panic. i'm going to have to wait until i see ticket prices to say for sure. i'm kinda tempted to hit 2 or 3 smaller festivals instead of blowing it all on roo. i know what dmb is going to do this festival and it's going to suck. i saw them at the gorge last summer in WA, didn't enjoy myself even a little. dave matthews and friends i have a lot of respect for, i was hoping they'd play again. i'm not very fond of dmb anymore. sts9 will be awesome, i knew yonder and umphrey's would be back, glad keller will be there. tootsand the maytals are great. buuuuuut, no dead and no trey?? (so far) hmmmmmm....i'm gonna have to do some heaving thinking on it. this one is going to be much more mainstream than even last year was.

I am still definitely going, even though The Dead or Trey aren't going. I am like 3 hours from the venue. Plus you got Donna the Buffalo, sts9, wsp, modest mouse, not too excited about dmb, but I like his music alot. It's just he has a frat boy kind of crowd following. WSP does, too, a little, but it is a little different. Toots is gonna be there. Keller, Yonder, Bela Fleck, and the line-up isn't even complete, yet. I am content with it the way it is, but I do hope at least 2 more main bands sign on. I hope they space the good bands out a bit. I missed alot of stuff and was torn as to who to see the past couple of years because they were right on top of each other's times. I also hope that they sand the edges of the stages and preplan ahead a little better for the event of torrential down pours. I know I will!! :smile:

im considering going this year. it would be my first time. im not too keen about being dirty though. i know its really not that big of a deal, but if im gonna be all drugged up, the last thing i want to think about is my smelly ass. and i know everyone else will be smelling too. i dont know, i really hate not showering. the lineup so far looks pretty good. hopefully ill make it. i hear its a blast.

i still really want to go, but yeah it does depend on the money partly..that is insanely kind of you to offer that! i don't think i could accept borrowed money for music festival when i still owe my parents some cash and shit like that though. there are a couple other smaller fests i want to hit up too, mainly motion notion in alberta and earthdance in cali., possibly langerado in florida, and telluride mushroom fest. in colorado. one way or another, i kind of have a feeling i'll end up at bonnaroo again :smile: :dancing: we gotta make our paths cross sometime this summer, no matter what though

My friends and I are all chipping in for an rv to drive up there for showering and chillin in a/c purposes!!! We are going in style this year. I have to go to work, but we'll talk more later. I'll be back at around 11:30-ish this evening(cst).later!!

God damnit, Trey needs to play there, I wonder if he is taking this summer off, decent line up but it would say (so far) the lineups are getting worse each year.
