anybody else going to go see sound tribe feb 10th & 11th at the house of blues in chicago?
i'll be heading there with a couple of friends, we'll be enough people to split a hotel (of course, telling the hotel that there are only 2 people staying there) and not pay that much.
should be a damn good time!

I've seen them twice they put on a great show! For the most part the people who go there are cool people... how much is the show in Chigaco and is the house of blues coool open air/?

house of blues isnt outdoors, but is a very cool venue.
i've seen alot of shows there, and its one of my favorites....

house of blues is an indoor venue.

oh I get it that's all I was asking...it's not like at the venues here there isn't everything going on that would be in a crowd of crazy high people getting higher constantly and totally jamming out without worry of police.
That doesn't mean don't be worried, of course. Be smart.. I like the tape and leg trick personally for 100% satisfaction and sense of well being
As far as other stuff goes.. I got a 1/5th of royal into the last show, just be sneaky and make sure there is no cops at the door

I don't know about it being a ripp off. I saw The Voodoo Glow Skulls, back in '97 and it only cost me 15 bucks! I actually like the venue, too! Good peeps working there! Chi town is a great city, too! Should be a great time! Sure wish I could be there. We'll be there, in spirit, though!

I mean the price of refrescoes is outrageous, atleast the on in the Myrtle Beach area. i mean I have seen some good shows and the hob, but i would rather go somewhere esle.

I like house of blues because you can see some pretty big acts in a really small place. Usually the bands at HOB play arenas, so getting in to see them in HOB is a nice treat.

two nights in denver this month might be on my agenda. i would love to rock chi-town are tickets still available? i can fly to midway for a cab ride prices.
last time i went to sts9 i lost all my friends was spun and decided to just get close as possible and everyone in front was super spun and spun chicks wanted to make out and were topless with body paint. the joys of mdma.
sts9 is my favorite sitting at the computer music for some reason. i don't really like dancing to it and the 'live' experience is not as good as some other bands.

Are you serious?! Let me guess. You're a big Panic fan? Personally, I think sts9 is the best thing to hit the tour circuit, in a very long time. That is just my opinion, though. there is something about typing on a keyboard that flows ever so sweetly with sts9. also driving at night with sts9 full blast.
remember we all hear music different ways.
i am not panic head. cheesehead or anyhead.
touring with sts9 would not be exciting to me. sounds like a traveling circus rave. they are good to see when they come to town but hitting the road with them - i would not feel much inspiration to drive 900 miles to see them as i have felt for such bands as the dead. i do not get much more out of sts9 song at show than I do listening on CD.
i have been going to sts9 at after hours shows for quite sometime.
last 4 concerts i've seen: Moonshine Still, Yonder Mountain String Band, Ratdog, and Trey solo with new band.

haha, yeah. jammed out rock, but played through a lot of digital effects - creating a mixture between psy-goa-trance & jam-band style rock. kinda in the same vein as the disco biscuits, particle, orbital, etc... but with a lot of dynamics and a visciously intoxicating live performance

i last saw them in 2003.. from shows i've been listening to, they've only improved since then. we managed to get a room @ the hilton for dirt cheap on the net (well, that and splitting the room 6 ways lowers the price  )

 some friends are staying at the house of blues hotel, and will have at least 20lb of nitrous with them  i figure we'll party there, on the off chance that we are too loud and get thrown out, at least we'll still have a room to go back to

I love STS9! As far as a good live show, this year's Bonnaroo was really good, they even had some hip-hop artists sit in for a couple songs (Tha Perceptionists and Collective Efforts). I've been shaking my ass to these 3 cd's for six months! Woot!

Uhhh...I'm not sure about Atlanta, but I know it's supposed to, in south Alabama. I am soooo glad that I don't live in Georgia! That place is wacked out! It is quiet here. Too quiet sometimes. It makes a city boy nervous to hear nothing but his beating heart.

alright just got back, 2 fucking great shows - had a blast...
got invited by some very cute girl into the soundbooth (she was "with the band" i guess ), and was supposed to go and party with her and the whole backstage crew after the show, but after going back to my hotel room, doing a few whippits and downing a beer, i called her up to find that they were only halfway done packing down the stage (it was almost 4am by this time), so she said she would call me back as soon as they were leaving the house of blues and going wherever the after party was at. unfortunately she never called back  but at least i got to dance in the most acoustically perfect place in the venue (with a beautiful girl by my side, at that!)
the shows should be up on archive.org sometime in the near future - definitely check out Circus from the first night... blew my mind!
