Yup, Radiohead has been confirmed for months. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5102054/an/0/page/0

My girlfriend's brother works in the biz and is friends with the Bonnaroo organizers.

i wonder if tool will be there? they are releasing a new album soon...tool would fit well at bonnaroo, me thinks. i've got 20 dollars on tool.

I like that bonnaroo has been aggresively seeking out non-jambands, and sticking them in the late night spots, which are of course the best shows at bonnaroo.

let's see...i want TMV to come back, herbie hancock, STS9, shpongle, broken social scene, and les claypool. and does zero 7 ever tour?

yeah..bring em all on.

I was thinking about working Bonnaroo, but decided not to since I couldnt get an A2 gig.... and Im not wanting to bust my ass in mud for crap pay as I watch people geek out on acid all around me.

Since Clear Channel has taken over, Bonnaroo has been the poo IMO. SUperfly did a much better job, maybe I am biased because 2 of my friends work for Superfly and I could have gotten an A2 then.....

I live about an hour away from Manchester, Tn and Im probably not even going to go.... unless Praxis is on the list.

i've been to all of them and last year was the best one yet.

tip for everyone: arrive thursday, park, take the little red wagon you just bought and load all your shit onto it, and then cart it down to the camp only area thats right infront of the stages. then setup your camp and kiss the mile and half late night death marches good bye. if you do this, it will make your bonnaroo experiance 10x better. If you just plan ahead and bring a cart/wagon (which can later be used as a table at your camp site) hauling your stuff will be easy, and you're garaunteed a spot of your choosing since camp only never fills up. After the festival drive your car down to camp only and pick up your shit, viola!

It really is the way to go...better than vip maybe, since that cost like 700 dollars or whatever. It's great when your feeling lazy and you can just sit in your cmp site, ccrack a beer open, and watch the light show/hear the music thats literally right in front of you.

it'd also probably the best way to arrange a meetup, now that i think about it.

yeah, the camp only sites are great, but the line-up last year was teh poo compared to the second or third Bonnaroo, and until the 4th Bonnaroo, I had never heard nearly as many BUST stories.

We did that 2 years ago and it was sooo nice.

Our camp site was about 100 yards from the main enterence to centeroo. Could chill and see the main stage from our spot too.

unfortunately, i'll most probably be travelling around during the festival, so will miss it again this year.

Bonnaroo is still a great fest, always an awesome lineup, just come PREPARED. Although I must say that 10,000 lakes fest had B-roo beat in more ways than one. I'll be at both this summer hopefully......$$$$.......

I went to All Good last year and it was the shit. Very nice sized festival with lots of good people and no cops. Also, it is in the mountains of WV so there is some beautiful scenery at the site too. Be prepared for some rain though as it supposedly rains at least some every year.

I wish they would have a festival on the beach somewhere.

Cant wait to see the line up for this years roo.

Sci is there every year, saw some a ween there a couple of years ago. Most likely will probably see some radiohead this year. As I am sure most of my friends will want to see it. Should be cool.

Beck, boo
Tom Petty, boo.

Anyway I am definitely going, I signed a 5 year contract to go and I am a man of my word. Seriously though, it is always a blast and I always see great music. I am there fer sure. I even had my sister move her wedding date so I wouldn't have to miss the Roo. Bonnaroo!!!! Woot!!

it's not a rumour. the people who pay to be in the crew de roo club got a news letter announcing it. I'd imagine a email coming from the bonnaroo people themselves would be legit.

i would travel across the country to see radiohead. don't have to though cuz it's only 8 hours for me. seen ween 4 times, great every time. never seen beck, but i've always wanted to, so that's just a nice added bonus. don't really give a crap about sci though...seen em 5 times and it's just pretty much the same thing every time, fake arranged jams and whatnot. tom petty might be cool to see, but no big deal if i miss him either.

Radiohead is all I'd really want to see so far.

I like my Ween in a crowded bar or theatre, never got into them at a festival.

yes thats a part of it. radiohead and beck never come around here, and ween does but it sells out very fast whenever they do. sci tours all the time though. so imo, this may be the best initial lineup bonnaroo has put out so far

I dunno about you guys but since Radioheads electronic vibe their shows are energetic. I find myself dancing all the time. They are one of my favorite live bands ever. I would go anywhere to see radiohead.. that is if i had the money to do so. emotionally cleansing and psychadelic as fuck!

If tool is gonna be there nothing's stopping me from bonnaroo tool radiohead beck?

Who KNOWS who else!

Honestly, i'll be there regardless of the lineup just because of proximity. It doesn't even take a full tank of gas to get to Bonnaroo from my house...

I can have a good time even if there are only a hand full of bands I really want to see, probobly a better time just because there is less of a chance of spacing out and missing something.

A good lineup....but this much prog/indie rock MIGHT have an effect on the "scene", and no I don't just mean drugs. O well, still should be a GREAT time, I'm there.

Ya it looks like they're totally starting to head down another wavelength. I dont mind....Jam was never my favorite anyways and besdies, youd need either Phish or THe Dead to headline Jam--Neither of those 2 take bookings anymore too my knowledge. Id like to see RadioHead but not willing to pay >$250 to see them. I wonder how much more electronic they will sign, Sasha? not my favorite but an intrigueing idea.

You won't have to, although the ticket prices increased from last year, you can still go for $170, if you get the first round of tickets. Too bad though, I remember getting the early bird special last year and it was like $145 maybe.

Damn, I think that's a decent lineup. Robert Randolph is on the top of my list. Woot!Radiohead, Phil & Friends, Beck, Bela Fleck, MMW, Atmosphere (I hope they pick up more hip hop), Soulive, Bill Frissel... Still missing Les Claypool and STS9 though, and Ben Harper would be a sweet addition.
I like that there's not too many big acts, cuz you know they will be scheduled at the same time and you'll miss them anyway. Having a bunch of can't-miss shows is like having a responsibility to see them, which is like a total bummer trip dude. I mean, I don't even have a watch, so this whole schedule thing is just the man trying to bring us down, I think all the bands should just play all weekend, everywhere, and everyone could just jam wherever they are...

You know that there is going to be at least another 20 artists announced, if they do it like the previous roo's. But it seems like they are going in a different direction this year. My wishlist:

- WEEN!
- STS9
- Bisco
- Mars Volta
- Trey (but no more 70VP....please Trey....)
- Benevento Russo Duo
- Les Claypool in some form
- More good underground hiphop

I *personally* hope no more 'emo' is added or we may be facing horribly tight pants, oversized black rimmed glasses and people that don't dance in LARGE numbers.

The additions I'm really hoping for are

Gov't Mule or ABB
North Mississippi All stars
and Primus, or at least one band featuring Les Claypool that isn't the fancy band or Gabby La La featuring Les. realistically if Les is there it will probably be with the Fancy Band, but Primus would be sweet.

some more DJ's would be nice - The Crystal Method would be awesome.

So they line-up is starting to look a bit more "indie" than years past... but I'm not concerned about the vibe changing too much.  Granted I've only been to the roo once (last year), but it seemed to me that it wasn't so much about three days of jambands as much as three days of GREAT bands.

It just so happens that a lot of great live acts happen to be jambands   But as for others, such as Ben Folds and Elvis Costello, just because they aren't designated as such or associated with hippies doesn't mean they won't fit in at Bonnaroo.  And I doubt that their inclusion will change the vibe of the crowd too much... Bonnaroo is 80,000 people who love to drive long distances to get muddy and dance in the rain for three days, nothings going to change that  :tripping:

True that! We are definitely going. We discussed it, earlier. Danksis, Elijah, and myself are cruising up there, in a R.V.! It is going to be a great time, I think!:yesnod:

Vulture--I would LOVE to see Del added, but SCI I can live without, after their show that I saw, in Birmingham. They really sucked the big one, imo.
