projectors are fun. i had one of the first that did 1024x768. i would drag it and my computer out into the woods for the kiddie raves. winamp plug ins melted their minds and they thought i was an alien god.
pioneer has come out with a dvd turntable device (similar to cd tables) imagine the visuals that can be created with a projector and the ability to mix dvd images.

Yeah it's all great and dandy until your bulb blows out, and you gotta pay another 400$ for a replacement...
I had the luxury of owning a fully functional Toshiba TLP30 for awhile, now I need a new bulb and cannot quite afford one at the moment :frown:.
Boy is it a sad day when your 300" high definition projector bulb bites the dust.

This is different, it's taking a normal high school type projector that has like a 40 dollar bulb and an old 15" lcd screen and mating them together for a hi-res projector, it's really awesome.

Except even a used one for that kind of money won't have XGA resolution and the amount of lumens as this. But I see how someone would not want to have a ghetto-rig projector. One big downfall of this project(or) is that it only has a VGA input, so unless there is some type of adaptor, no PS2/XBOX, cable TV, and no standalone DVD players could be hooked up to it, only your computer.
