Split screen projection
    #5632361 - 05/15/06 12:33 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

So iv had a thought of purchasing a projector for my computer. The idea is to be able to us my computer whilst having milkdrop (full-screen) projecting on the wall (in beat to the music), much like a second desktop, but with milkdrop running.

I'm guessing this would require a new graphics card or something. I'm clueless.

Any ideas? Is this even possible? If so, how..

you need a vidio card. we use g-force (vidio card and program) to do that. the only problem we run into is you can't run it full screen and use the computer b/c the mouse clicks kill the full screen. you can however run it maximized. by the way, nice post count. btw, g-force is made by the same people that make milk drop except it is much better. if you have the flow get the platinum, you won't regret it.

Cheers for the advice.

I have a TV card, does that class as a video card?

I use two monitors and run milkdrop full screen no problem.
What you need to do is set the monitor you wish to run milkdrop on as the secondary monitor and do your everything-else on the primary. Works fine. Milkdrop is uninterrupted.

MushieMan:
Just get a good video card that will support two monitors; that's all you'll need.
I would like to recommend that you get an application called Ultramon, though. It's made for running multiple monitors. It's got some pretty cool features and is definitely better than ATI's hydravision, whatever nvidia comes packed with for multiple monitors and anything is better than using windows' plain (sorry if I assume wrong) multi-monitor support.
