LCD TV vs. LCD Monitor Would the resolution between a lcd monitor and a lcd tv be the main difference? Would the lower resolution of the tv make it crappy for gaming? The prices being as close as they are it'd be nice if the tv would work good. 32" would be nice, but 24" is still pretty huge.

What will you be using this panel for?
If you're sitting a few feet from a 32 to use your computer, it may not be high enough resolution.
Another thing to think of is what types of signals are you inputting to the TV? For instance, both displays will display high def. TV. The resolution of the monitor/TV won't matter if the signal you input to it is crappy.

that resolution plus the size of that monitor will suck for any type of pcing gaming going on it. it will just look plain horrible. Put your current monitor to that resolution, and now think what it would look like double its size(ie the pixels more spread out). The dell is worth the money for sure
You can research some more here, lots of people praise the dell for being the best monitor on the market atm

Either monitor would be fine for TV as they both exceed broadcast resolutions (e.g. BOTH can display the full resolution of HDTV).
I'm not familiar with gaming, especially with resolutions. I thought x-box 360 was the only gaming system that displayed the games in High defintion? I'm assuming you could just change resolutions on the comp.? Wish I could help ya out on the gaming issues.

The Dell is getting lots of praise at that site. I think that's the way to go. Gonna have to wait a couple months to afford it, but it will be worth it in the end - Drool
