Problem with one jar.

So far the jars have come along normal only one contaim, but there is this other jar that created a crevice(sp?) in the substrait. It looks as though it was created due to shrinkage of the cake (from the mycelluim growth) now the mycelluim is having a hard time growing accross to the other side keeping the jar from fully colonizing. Should i just wait and let the mycelluim thats growing on the bottom from the other side of the jar work its way over there? any other suggestions...?
