Wow... is all i can say....!!!!!!!!! I inoculated jars with Ecuador syringes ....100% colonized in 14 days. Then I cased with verm bottom , top layer is 50/50 peat and verm with 15 % oyster shell lime from my nursery, 5 days with saran and kept dark, top was infiltrated completelyat day 5.Then 5 more days in terrarium and VOILA !!!!!!!!! I count 25 in the one pic and who knows how many in the other My first casing was kinda tired.. used an aluminum bread pan with 3 cakes crumbled,but it contamed on me after first flush. So i figure Hey.why not case one cake and see what happens.. the pic that has more pins was a whole PFtek cake placed in the flower pot. the other was crumbled. not quite as profuse but still great.. this way if you do lose a casing to contams.you only lost one jar. I`m going to try a little bigger pot. maybe a 6 inch little more surface area . let me know what y`all think with some feedback and thanks for all the top of the line info from everyone

Are you sterilizing them in the oven?
You'll have to keep those things moist or they'll suck your substrate dry. Why not just case in the jar if you want to do singles?

I sterilized my casing mixture pre-soaked in quart jars then P.C`d gave them a few extra misting squirts after i cased. i thought about casing the jar itself like you mentioned but 1/2 pint jar seemed very small. thanks for the input though... I`m going to [blank]MART and try some 6 inch pots....I`m very pleased with this way so far......thanks again

That pic is a 4 inch plastic pot......Half pint PFtek cake fits nicely ontop of verm bottom.. then case on the top and down the sides.. pinned in 10 days.... good luck.. i`m going for a little bigger pot..... just bought 4 "6" inch pots... casing today.. pics in the near future

Sorry, # 9, but I need to state my opinion. I've seen better flushes on straight verm. And, yes, those were in aluminum pans.
