 Trip from a mycelium cake?

Anyone know how to trip from a mycelium cake? I can't wait any longer for shrooms. I have a full colonized vermiculite/brown rice cake. I would rather not eat it, but if I could make a drink from it that would be nice... Any ideas?
Update---
I have decided to go with the cranberry juice and vitamin C extraction method. Anyone know if cranberry juice is necessary or will any liquid do? If anyone's done this before, how many level 2-3 trips do you get from one 1/2 pint cake?

hmmmm, since there fully colonized you should prolly just wait it out.. im sure it wont take all that much longer. But if you must, you can scrape the mycellium off of the cake and make tea from it. The BRF is completly fine to eat, and for the verm, as far as i know its non toxic as well. But if i were you I would just wait and eat the shrooms off of it =)
*edit* You got me thinking, and i have a jar that only half got inoculated, and its gonna take forever for the fungus to take over the complete other side as well, so im going to go ahead and make tea out of it, ill tell you how it works later on tonight *edit*

make sure to keep me posted about this, I'm interested in this as well, cheap and quick way to trip if you live in tight quarters with people who dont like shrooms. a jar with white stuff in it is really ordinary compared to a rubbermaid with shrooms in it, thats what im thinking...

Yeah I have some jars also that are going to take at least a month to colonize from the looks of things. Tell me how that goes.

If you use a liquid/agar solution you could just filter it through and not have to do any scraping. There is a tek out there that describes how to remove psilocybin straight from mycelium.

if you have a cake, old or new, i think you can boil it for about 10-15 minutes and then strain it and drink the water. I believe there is a level 5 trip report called "Sludge Experiment"
and the people tripped doing that.

If you really want to trip off the cakes, the best way is to crush them up really good and then boil them in water and lemon juice making tea. Make sure you crush up all the bits of mycelium as best as you can. When straining the liquid, I have found it works best to use a thin cloth or T-shirt so that you can force the liquid through it using your hand because it tends to be a little bit thick. I would say do at least three cakes worth.

i thought psilocybin/cin breaks down at too high of temperatures. So boiling for any amount of time would ruin the potency of the shrooms, right? <br>

Alright i know some of you have been waiting and sorry i didnt post sooner, but here it goes.
10p - Microwaved some water in a cup (half a kids sized plastic cup you get at some resturaunts.), let it sit in the microwave while i removed the cake and cut out the mycellium. I cut two 1in by 3in by 1/2in rectangles out of the cakes and put a kool-aid packet and the cake chunks into the warm water. Stirring occasionally, broke the cake up into a bunch of nothing (looked really gross too)
12.30p - Filtered the liquid through paper towls into a bigger cup and added ice drove over to my freinds house sipping the strained kool-aid. Having forgot to put suger in as well it tasted like poorly made kool-aid with a sweet mushroomy smell
and thats all that happend... no dialation(sp?), no trippy feeling, my arms felt real heavy for 10 min or so but that all that happend. I dont know where i messed up, the water was just a little cooler then when you would make actual tea, but i was pretty dissapointed. I think im gonna try the morning glory seeds again tommorow night cause i would like some shrooms but im not gonna have any if i keep wasting the mycelium, some people say a morning glory trip is a one time thing, im gonna test that out and ill let ya know about it... someone else should try the mycelium again and tell us how it goes.
PS. i might go and get regular rice and try growing the mycelium on it so i can just eat the cake, for some reason i couldnt bring myself to eating the rock (verm.) cake

About how much percent of the cake did you use? Me and a friend are going to trip and I am thinking one 1/2 pint cake won't be enough for the both of us, so maybe 2. Well?

Ok. I have done this method and this is what I found. I used quart jars filled with 2 cups of whole millet. After full colonization, this is probably the same amount of mycelium from 3 or 4 half-pints.
1st experiment - Right after full colonization I made the cranberry juice per the tek using one whole jar. Nothing happened.
2nd experiment - Used 5 jars two weeks later, so two weeks after full colonization. My friend and I split the drink and got threshold/1st level effects.
3rd experiment - Used two jars 1 month after full colonization, level 3 trip.
The lesson to be learned here is that you must wait at least 3 weeks AFTER full colonization before the mycelium produces enough psylocibin to trip off of. If you pay attention to the tek, the guy says this. Using half-pints you would need probably 8 of them fully colonized to trip off of, total waste in my opinion especially since a month after full colonization you should have shrooms by then. If you want to use this tek, go by the directions, half-pints are a wast of time...

I have heard some conflicting opinions about whether or not boiling causes any real loss to potency. I know that psilocybin does break down at a certain high temperature, but I think that it takes a while for it to happen. I mean that once you reach that high temperature it isnt just going suddenly break down all at once, but that it takes time. You might have to boil it for a long period of time before you will notice any real loss in potency.
I have made tea out of mycelium several times using boiling water and lemon juice, and never have I noticed anything other than a VERY strong shroom trip.
I use a low boil and I dont boil it for very long either, but just long enough to get all the goodies out of the colonized grain and into the liquid. I believe heat really does help in the extraction process. And if there is any loss in potency, I dont think it is enough to worry about. I think you would have more loss in potency by not using heat, just because less psilocybin would be extracted. Just my theory though.
I had the strongest shroom trip of my life off 5 fully colonized pf cakes by using this method. I have also tripped pretty hard using rye grain that wasnt even fully colonized yet.

Good sir, do tell more of this fabulous method. How much water is used, and how much lemon juice? I happen to have 5 fully colonized cakes brimming with alkaloids that I must ingest. I require the strongest trip of my life no later than tonight.

ok. so I originally made 5 BRF and verm cakes that only two colonized. they were growing fine but unfortunately due to my living situation i had to get rid of them. so 2 nights ago I tripped 10 G's of shrooms ( what i had left at the time) and now I am left with 2 1 pint cakes turning a lovely blue. I chopped them up and added 3 cups of water put some black tea in with it and put in on medium heat on the stove for about 10 min. barely under a boil. strained them in a strainer and then restrained them into a glass with a coffee filter. I'll update on what happens :]
