separating mycelium from vermiculite

any way to take a fully colonized cake that was done PF tek and eat it without eating the vermiculite?

this seems hard, but not impossible. didnt know if anyone had ever tried it yet. in this case, waiting is not an option. can wait for future jars, but tonight is the last night for an experience for a friend, so must be tonight. the others i have patience for... i definitely do.

A complete waste of time in my opinion!

Don't bother eating mycelium. It's not gonna do anything for your friend but give him a stomach ache.

imho, rush shouldnt be present at ANY entheogenic experience.

btw, i am not sure whether is possible to take the verm out of the cake.
its bound. the mycelium has grown with it and it is now inside it. you probably
need hours and when you finish, you will hopefully have a plate of little tiny
white fluffy things. also i am not sure if there is enough amount of psilocin
there now. as my little experience has shown, only after a while, close to fruiting,
the mycelium can bruise blueblue by hands and not when its just came out
the jar. hm....

there is a method, extracting psilocybin/psilocin using cranberry juice.
dont know if it works though, i have my doubts. it tastes shit i have been told.

anyway, that was MY opinion, doesnt mean i am right.

Trying to eat mycelium is a waste of time. In my younger and dumber days, I have tried to eat a cake, the cranberry extraction method, and neither of them had good results. It is a complete waste of time, just wait until you get fruits. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

One or two cakes will yield a good trip. Don't bother with the cranberry method.. ppl are right, it probably won't work. Instead, Boil some water and add your tea bag. Turn the heat off and add a crumbled up cake. mash the chunks into the water. Turn the heat back on real low and cover for ten minutes. turn off the heat, cover and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then you need to strain out all of the vermic/cake particles. use cheesecloth or a clean stocking. add sugar/honey and drink and enjoy... With a tea trip, the effects come on more quickly (15 mins or so), and the trip is shorter..

This has been done many times and DOES work!!
