I had some cakes that had been sitting in my growth chamber for a while and wouldn't fruit or even pin. Just sitting there taking up space. So I decided to try one of the teks I read about soaking the cakes in cranberry juice and drinking that. I read that you'll trip your face off with the dose I used, 4 half pint cakes. I tried this only I used orange juice instead of cranberry juice, I hate that stuff and nothing happened. I soaked the cake for 24 hours and than gave it a good shake. I mean I didn't even get a minor body buzz. Anyone know what happened?

You soaked the whole cake in orange juice?
You are supposed to make the cake into a mush, then soak it, or to put it this way, you are supposed to wash the msycelium off the vermiculite.

my understanding is the cakes have to have fruited to be useful in this sense. my friend still isn't sure why anyone would want to consume a cake, but that's what everyone was saying a few months ago.
apparently it works well with old, beat-up, cakes that already produced some fruits.

mycelium contains negligible amounts of psilocybin, it wont work and does not work.... You can also get yourself very sick.

Well I've tried the PF Tek method and it doesn't work. My cakes just sit in the chamber and don't fruit anything. What a waste money and time.

Do you have the right temperature in your fruiting chamber? right humidity? enough light? dont give up........

there are lots of things to do. let use know what strain and what setup/conditions are we maybe able to help.

I have followed the PF Tek method to the letter. I'm using a styrofoam chamber with perlite at the bottom. I even used the eq strain because I know that there more forgiving to any mistakes made. No fruitng and its been almost 2 weeks.

Wrong. The PF method does work, but you have to do it correctly. Don't blame the Tek, blame your application of the tek.

Reminds me of smoking resin!

Smoking resin works best if you extract it with alcohol. You then let the alcohol evaporate in a pyrex pie dish and it leaves resin powder behind which can be scraped up with a razor blade. You can even use lighter fluid or coleman fuel for the extraction, but it imparts a very unpleasant taste to it. I think that your smoking equipment tastes better when it is kept clean this way, but that is just my .02. Sorry for the off topic post. I await the flamers.

what kind of light source are you useing?
If posible put it near a window for a few hours aday for a few days.
or cold shock them. Place then in ziplock bags and put them in the refridgerator for 8 or so.
or just wait it out a bit longer if you followed pf tek to the letter it will work.
what are the temps and the humidity?
