Hey i was wondering if anybody had any luck finding baeos this past season? I found libs and plenty of cyans, but no baeos. Seems like they are pretty rare; but then again maybe its just me. If anybody has any pics I would love to see them. Thanks.

I found one patch of about 10 growing in a lawn where i find blue ringers. after that nothing.

I do fouond five specimens this year on a blue ringer lawn. They were once very rare and then from 1977 through 1986 they were all over the city in both lawns and in woodchips.

I had one baeo lawn from 1997-2002. Took the hawkseye there in 1999- 0r 2000. They come and go. They are actually a pasture mushroom which are very rare int he pasture, as are P. sierrae and P. fimetaria.

I know Cardboard found a bunch a year or so ago in a blue ringer lawn in Bellingham. he posted some cool pictures here at the shroomery. You wold have to look for them. I have pictures also at my site.

I found a patch of 40 or so growing next to the manure/straw heap which I find my pan subbs... I think they were growing off the dirt though.

Thanks for your replies guys. I guess it isn't just me after all. Mj your website has alot of bad ass photos, and information. I never even knew it existed. Now I've got another website to explore; hell ya. Baeos are such a cool looking shroom, especially the unusual looking caps. Can't wait to find my first patch, hopefully next year. Peace.
